Mohul Folk Band Releases Their New Music Video
Recently well renowned folk band “Mohul” has released their new folk song, based on ‘Jhumur’ folk genre, “Phool Gachti Lagiechilam” through YouTube and OTT platforms. Thus, once again “Mohul” folk band has been able to present the versatility and greatness of the Bengali folk tradition in front of the greater audience of the world.
Nowadays, due to the unprecedented circumstances caused by the Corona pandemic when entire human civilization is locked down in home, this new release of “Mohul” folk band has been able to act like a gust of generous wind in the midst of heated desert. Credits goes to Partha Bhowmik, owner and lead vocalist of “Mohul”, who has presented this much popular jhumur song in a very unique way. Soham Bhowmik, son of Partha Bhowmik has been the music arranger of the song.
‘We also have arranged many other folk songs during lockdown and we have done these maintaining each rule of social distancing’, says Mr. Bhowmik. During these months, they also have arranged many online live programmes from home. “Phool Gachti Lagiechilam” is the latest addition to their music videos which has already earned more than one lakh viewers through the social platform.
Regarding the new song, Mr. Bhowmik says, “We are very much excited after releasing this jhumur song during this fierce situation. Maximum work regarding the song has been completed from home. Though we had to do some minor works regarding the video and recording of the song in studio. However, we maintain all the rules of social distancing during the making of the song.”
Digital content distribution company “OTT Solution Private ltd” has helped “Mohul” to release the song through YouTube and digital platforms. Mr. Sudip Bose, owner of OTT says, “During this pandemic situation the importance of YouTube and OTT platforms has been increased so much and OTT has been helping artists relentlessly to introduce their songs and other artforms to the greater audience. Mohul is now working on their Puja album. In the auspicious day of Mahalaya their new puja album will be released in social platforms.
